CRYSTAL: Going on my 6th day of the GLD. I feel good despite not having any solid food. Each day I have had a BM. Thursday and today were better than the other days. It is important to be eliminating, in fact, if I don't eliminate for 3 days in a row, I have to give myself an enema. (not wanting to do that!), so that is why I felt it was important to speak of that.
Every recipe in the GLD book have been great. Dr Leonard's favorite smoothie is so far my favorite. I made the Carob Smoothie yesterday. (I love chocolate! This was a great way to get my "fix".) I created a smoothie yesterday, I call it Tropical Smoothie. The recipe is as follows:
2 peaches
1 apple
slice of pineapple
1/2 papaya
1 Tbl coconut
1 c. coconut milk
1 banana
Blend, pour and serve
I have still continued to do my daily routines and exercise. In the morning, I make a "Super Green" drink. It is just a powdered formula of Chlorella, Spirulina, Barley Grass, Wheat Grass, Kamut, Dulse, Kelp and Olive Leaf. I mix it in water and drink it down. I also drink 12-16 oz of water first thing. Then I go work out. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are run days and Tuesday and Thursday are "Fit Camp" days. I always do the Tues-Thurs workouts, but only two to three of the other days to run. I decided to only have two run days instead of three while on the GLD. I am curious to see if I can keep my average 8:20 pace or faster during this fast. So far, so good. I am also taking a Kidney/Bladder tincture, Lower Bowel formula and a Gland Rejuvenator formula. I noticed in my Sclerology analysis that my Colon, Kidneys and Thyroid were more conjested than other areas.
In the evening, I have had different activities such as meetings, moving my daughter, or going on outings. I have only felt really tired last night and this morning, but I usually do around that time of the month. I have felt more energy overall. I have had less mucous and less pain in my feet. I have lost weight, (about 5 lbs) although that was not my goal, and can fit into my pants better. :)
Each day I have had times where I have felt hungry, but then I either drink water or make a smoothie or juice something. Everyday at lunch is when I have my juice. I have ventured off and created my own recipes, as you see above. I usually consume 3 smoothies (about 12-24 oz), 1 juice (16-32 oz) and 8-10 glasses of pure water. One didn't turn out very tasty, but the others have. Most of them I have added nuts and or yogurt to it to give me a little more calories. That has helped a lot.
